An Excerpt from the drafting of The Unfolding of Mark - Chapter 1
Knock knock.
Mark opens the door. “Right here. Waiting for your next message.” He sings as he offers a cup of coffee from Hodgkin’s to Kevin. “Deodorant?”
“Yep, I even did this, too,” Kevin bares his teeth as he grabs the coffee.
“Easy now. Gotta make sure you’re featured at your best today, bro. I know Kylie will appreciate that later. Oh, there’s that Bailey’s in it too.”
“Much obliged, good sir.” Kevin sips. “Man, I’m not going to deny it. My emotions are pretty high right now, kinda wish I was.” Kevin smiles, remembering crazier nights. “You should have seen the sweat when I woke up!”
“Good thing for that shower then. I’ll strip the bed. Finish getting ready.” Mark exclaims as he walks toward the bedroom.
“You don’t ha…”
“It’s not like I haven’t done this before for you,” Mark interrupts. “Just finish getting ready,” his voice tapers off.
“Yeah, those were some good times. Thank you,” lacing up his clown shoes.
“Where’s the sheets?” Mark yells out from the bedroom.
“They’re…”
“Nevermind. Found them.”
